    I would also like to know how to connect a php code with the data base. for example when you create a login or sign up form.

    <?php
    $dbhost = ‘localhost’;
    $dbuser = ‘root’;
    $dbpass = ‘password’;

    //connect to database
    $conn = mysql_connect($dbhost, $dbuser, $dbpass) or die (‘Error connecting to mysql’);

    $dbname = ‘petstore’;
    mysql_select_db($dbname);
    ?>

    Now run your MySql and Apache server. (I guess you are using XAMPP for this.)
